TeraConvert overview

TeraConvert is a native converter for Apple Silicon that handles video, audio, images, documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, ebooks and archives without sending anything over the network.

Conversions use the Mac's own hardware, including VideoToolbox for video encoding, so large jobs finish quickly and work offline.

The built-in editors cover PDF text editing, page reordering, splitting and compression, video trim and crop, audio trim with fades, and OCR for images and scanned PDFs.

Drop several files of the same kind and it batches them with one shared setting.

What's new in version 0.11.1

GIFs now export at 720px and 15fps by default, cutting a 19 MB screen recording down to just 1.2 MB. The GIF colour palette has also been tuned for screen recordings.
The Crop box now lines up with the video instead of the entire preview area, with up to 8x zoom and scroll-to-pan in the Crop tab.
The Minimize animations setting now applies across the entire app.
